I started practicing Yoga in 2003, when I signed up for a six week yoga course to “get more flexible”. Little did I know it would be the beginning of a life changing path, both on and off the mat.
In 2011, I moved to Switzerland from Canada, where I had worked for 20 years as a physiotherapist.
I am passionate about travelling and have been fortunate to spend a great deal of time "wandering" in Central and South America, Southeast Asia and India.
Over time my initial idea of yoga has evolved and now for me the "magic" of yoga is the connection of body, mind and spirit. Its all about the energy, its all about the Prana.
As a lover of human anatomy I incorporate alignment and awareness of the body into my teaching, to focus on creating a bridge from the physical to the subtle energy body. I am fascinated by the science behind the practice.
Although I enjoy teaching Hatha, Vinyasa Flow and Yin Yoga, recently my classes have evolved into a slow, strong flow fusing Hatha and Meridian Yoga with breath .
I teach in English or a mixture of English and German depending on the needs of the class.
With my experience as a physiotherapist I try and plan classes that are accessible to different levels and body types and to give adaptations ensuring a safe environment to practice.
I hope to share this "magic" and love of yoga with my students.
Namaste
