Prana shanti Retreat: Nepal

Join me next year for a very special Yoga Retreat in Nepal. 

This perfect setting will offer us time and space to dive deep into practice.

October is the perfect time to visit Nepal- temperatures are still warm and the skies clear for beautiful mountain views.

 

The "Retreat"   

Nestled in nature. A peaceful sanctuary in the foothills of the Himalayas...We will spend 6 nights at the beautiful Vishuddi Alaya Retreat Center 42 km outside of Kathmandu.

 

The Retreat Center is located in Pulbari (the Flower Garden) and is surrounded by forests and its own vegetable garden and orchard. The natural setting is accompanied by breath taking views of the Himalayan range. Here we will immerse in the tranquility of nature, allowing time and space to unwind and leave the busy modern world from the retreat behind.

 

The Thrangu Tashi Yangtse ('Namobuddha') Tibetan Buddhist Monastery and one of Nepal's holiest pilgrimage sites is a 40 minute footwalk away.

 

Vishuddi Alaya offers  fantastic Ayurvedic Spa services as well a Finnish sauna.

 

With stunning views  and lush spa offerings this is the perfect place to relax and unwind as we take time to sink into daily Asana, Pranayama and Meditation practices.

About the Yoga....

The Yoga practices are best suited for Yogis with some experience and a regular practice. Mornings will be a  strong, slow Embodied Energy Flow, with more focus on pranayama, meditation & mantra. The  afternoon classes will be variable depending on the energy levels of the group, perhaps some deep relaxation, gentle flow or Yin yoga.

 

Optional mini workshops---diving a bit deeper into Iyengar inspired Asana and traditional Pranayama/Yoga Philosophy (to be announced)

 

In your registration (if I don´t know you personally) please include a brief description of your Yoga experience (Asana/Meditation/Pranayama) , and any injuries or conditions that may affect your practice.

 

The retreat center has a well equipped Yoga Shala, with a heated floor and forest view. Of course if you have a travel mat it is always nice to bring your own.

Lessons will be taught in English.


And about the food....

At Vishuddi Alaya vegetarian meals are freshly prepared by using predominantly organically grown vegetables from their garden. They avoid using processed, frozen food, etc. and source as much as possible locally, organically grown ingredients. Breads, cakes, pasta etc. are all homemade. The farm to table concept is implemented as closely as possible.

Gluten free, dairy free, vegan meals and other dietary requests are taken into account by

our cook.

Lunch and dinner consist of a 2-3 course meal. Meals are a mix of Nepali/Indian and Western Cuisine

Alcoholic beverages are not served at the resort.
